Extraoral endodontic treatment is not detrimental for avulsed permanent teeth that are replanted after more than 60 minutes’ dry time. Other treatments require more study.

Critical Summary Assessment

Although all experimental interventions for avulsion included in this systematic review showed favorable outcomes, conclusions must be interpreted with caution owing to a moderate-to-high risk of bias in all the studies included in the review.
